Land Acknowledgement
The collective organizers of the Midwest Climate Resilience Conference, including the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership (MCAP), acknowledge that we are living and working on Indigenous lands throughout the Midwest and Great Lakes region. We commit ourselves to upholding tribal sovereignty, while recognizing that we must go beyond words, and practice work that is just, relationship-building, transparent, accountable, and respectful. This includes actions that center and prioritize Tribal goals, needs, and voices. Read our full land acknowledgement here.
The University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership (MCAP) offers critical resources and training to help communities respond to changing climate conditions and prepare for the years to come. Affiliated with both University of Minnesota Extension and the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences, we perform foundational climate research while also offering hands-on support to individuals and organizations across a range of backgrounds and industries in Minnesota, the Midwest region and beyond.
